Course Description:  This scenic walk will take you along charming streets, dirt paths and trails, through a park, past the Mirror Lake Inn,
 Mirror Lake itself and the site of the 1980 Winter Olympics.  In the distance you will see some of the high peaks of the Adirondack Mountain Range.

Trail Rating:   2C for some steep hills on village streets.


Hours:  The Visitors Bureau is open:  Mon-Fri 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; and, Sat & Sun 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Call for holiday hours.
                     PAID PARKING is available in the lot adjacent to the Visitor's Center on the corner of Mains Street and Olympic Drive.

Fees:    AVA Credit only - $3.00
             Non-Credit walkers - $2.00

From the South and West: Take I-87 (Adirondack Northway) North to EXIT 30 (Rt. 9).  Follow Rt 9 west to Rt 73. 
Take slight Left onto Rt 73 and follow it northwest thru the scenic Keene Valley to the Village of Lake Placid.
 Rt 73 tees into Main St. (Rt 86).  Turn Left and follow Main St. thru the Village. The Visitors Bureau is on the left past the High School.
 It is approximately 30 miles (45 min) from I87 to the village
From the North: Take I-87 (Adirondack Northway) South to EXIT 34 (RT 9N).
 Follow Rt 9N South some 16 miles thru Ausable Forks to its intersection with Rt 86 in Jay. 
Turn Right onto Rt 86 West and follow another 17 miles into the Village of Lake Placid.
